Since 2017, the Athens Baroque Festival has brought together musicians from all over the world, offering a platform for expression, education, and connectivity.
The audience has enjoyed a great variety of historically informed performances of baroque music, in accessible and atmospheric venues in the heart of Athens.
Musicians and ensembles from Germany, Austria, Armenia, Israel, Luxemburg, Spain, Sweden, Colombia, Chile, and Greece have given concerts, performances, seminars, and lectures, often creating a dialogue with new music and other forms of art such as dance, theatre and literature.
Why baroque music?
Because it’s one of the richest and most diverse periods in music history.
Because it’s a universal musical language that everyone can understand.
Because the primordial elements of which baroque music is composed, are timeless.
Athens Baroque Festival professes inclusion and pluralism.
